4-1/2″ Premium Zirconia Flap Disc

Steel Bulldog Zirconia Flap Discs are manufactured using premium zirconia grain which fractures frequently to continually produce fresh sharp points and deliver a faster cut-rate than aluminum oxide. Developed for heavy stock removal and high pressure grinding, the high strength resin bond system provides superior grain support which resists heat and humidity for longer life.

The disc is made with a high quality fiberglass backing plate which consists of an 8-layer fiberglass mesh screen which provides extra strength while being lightweight and maintaining its ability to absorb vibration for operator comfort. Metal rings are embedded in the center on both sides. The snippets are constructed of strong polyester cotton backing with a high strength resin to bind the grit.

The T29 shape is best for contouring and shaping surfaces at a 15 to 25 degree angle and are capable of more aggressive grinding than flat (T27) shaped discs.

Safety and Tips
Always use proper PPE including safety glasses or shield, gloves, respirator/mask, hearing protection, etc. Keep all guards on your machine.
To minimize stock removal, use lighter pressure and a feathered technique while grinding.
