About Steel Bulldog

Our journey began in April 2016. Our family formed a company named Takt, LLC to manufacture steel products for the trucking and heavy equipment industry. With over 30 years of  fabrication experience, this was a perfect fit. We are still producing these products today.

During the manufacturing of these goods, we use a lot of supplies to prepare and finish steel. We purchese these products in bulk and have realized there is a demand for high quality, economically priced consumables. This lead us to offer the Steel Bulldog line of abrasives and cutting tools.

We use these ourselves, and they have been used in a demanding production metalworking environment. That being said, do-it-yourselfers can also benefit from using our quality products without breaking the bank on their projects.

We choose our suppliers very carefully who deliver high product reliability and quality control. We thoroughly test the products before offering them for sale. Our customers can expect a quality product at a fair price.

Sully was the inspiration for our logo. While he may look fierce, he’s just a big baby.

We’ve been asked often, “How did you come up with your name?” The answer is easy – our favorite metal to work with is steel. And the bulldog part? After our beloved English bulldog Molly, who joined us in the office every day. While Molly has crossed the rainbow bridge, we have two more bulldogs, Bow and Sully, who have taken up the mascot reins.
